What is Required:
No book is required. We will suggest different texts that we will be using including Notgrass Exploring America and Stobaugh's American History as well as United States History by BJU.
We use lots of resources. Homework will be given by unit of study so that you could use the book at home that works best for you. In class, we will use video clips, power point slides, dynamic group discussions, class simulations, and more to really enjoy this class.
A computer will be needed (students also are able to take the class on most hand-held devices) to access the Adobe online classroom. Students are given the opportunity to chat, to use a webcam, and to use their mic throughout the year, but we have had students take the classes very successfully through chat box only on their part.
Grading and Credit:
Grading is included on what we do see in class as assignment submission and participation...and we do offer credit certificates at the end of the course. Grading and credit awarded is at the discretion of the home parent ultimately though due to the home parent being the record keeper.
